The Philadelphia Freedom Band is pleased to announce that the Philadelphia Freedom Band has selected Henco Espag to be our new Artistic Director. Henco was the second candidate to audition.Hailing from South Africa, Henco is an accomplished conductor, composer, vocal coach and performer. He has a bachelors of music from the Berklee School of Music, graduating in 2008 summa cum laude. Henco has directed large and small ensembles and won conducting and composing awards internationally. He has a great interest in many types of music, including classical, jazz, folk and movie scores.
The band and the board look forward to growing with him.
