Rehearsals for our spring concert have begun. Join us on Mondays at 7 p.m. at Arch Street United Methodist Church at Broad and Arch Streets in Center City Philadelphia.
We are preparing for a spring themed concert with great variety, whimsy and fun. At it, we will raffle off a Marin Bridgeway Step-Thru bike donated by ING Direct. So, get your spring off on the right step and join us for our spring concert. Check here for more information in the coming days.
The Philadelphia Freedom Band is a group of people who love to play music in large and small ensembles. Many of us played instruments in our high school and college bands. Others are professionally trained musicians. We’ve come together to practice our skills and perform for the public. We welcome anyone who wants to play in a concert band with others in community. The band is a place where anyone – lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or straight – can enjoy the beauty of playing music with friends. The only thing we ask is that you know how to read music — or at least you were able to at one time. We are a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit organization by the IRS as a charitable organization (with a 501c3 number of 23-2583490).
